They are the 5th generation to take on the role of winegrower with the same humility. Nicknamed the “Freshwater Sailors”, they assume the image both literally and figuratively!
Their story begins in 1880 in Saint Frichoux in the Aude. The great-great-grandfather Louis Biscan cultivated 5 ha; there were 40 like him in the village. Today it is more than 100 ha to cultivate and they are only 2 winegrowers.
Their Saint Fructueux cuvée designates the patron saint of their village. Supporters of many organic (organic fertilizer, sexual confusion, reduction in sulphites) and ecological (choice of recyclable, sorting and waste treatment) practices, they have validated the HVE3 level and are starting the conversion to certified organic farming.
