Mas de la Devèze is a very old estate located in the Eastern Pyrenees in Tautavel, at the foot of the Corbières, not far from the famous Cathar castle of Quéribus. The environment of the estate is very wild, relatively arid and still very well preserved.
Historically, there was livestock on the Estate, the “devèzes” being the best land on a farm that was reserved for pasture. Then the culture of the vine made its appearance, little by little the field was dismantled and separated from its vines.
Located on the foothills of the Corbières massif in the Maury, Côtes du Roussillon Villages and Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel appellation areas, the vines extend over different terroirs: mainly black soils, schistose marls, but also clay soils.
