Domain of 135ha (including 25ha of vines) located on the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail, acquired in 1998 by the Brunier family in partnership with Kermit Lynch.
As one great lover of the place said, “Les Pallières is a superb garden of vines, hanging on the back of the Dentelles de Montmirail”. A 25 hectare garden in fact, masterfully planted by the Hilarion Roux family, in the middle of a
Mediterranean forest facing North West, 110 hectares of which are an integral part of the Pallières atmosphere. A garden created and cultivated by the same family for several centuries, where livestock and olive trees have gradually given way to vines. It was in 1998 that the Brunier and Kermit Lynch brothers had the opportunity and decided to become owners of this superb place planted with Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Clairette, Bourboulenc and thus to seal an association that began over 20 years ago. years earlier, on the occasion of the importation of the first cases of Vieux Télégraphe to the United States.
The first years were naturally devoted to the rehabilitation of the vineyard, of which almost 2 hectares were torn up, listening to the place, but also to the study of a plan of winemaking cellars adapted to the style of wines they wanted to create. Four years later the new winery was erected, in which they strove to scrupulously respect their philosophy of receiving grapes by gravity and where the production of each plot can finally receive very specific care, given their diversity of characters. The Pallières style is now found; it was imposed on them by the landscape, by the influence of this very special exposure, by the limestone scree descended from the buttresses of the
Dentelles, mixed with this sandy clay soil in which the roots of a very old vineyard draw their resources. A style that is both rough and elegant, warm and mineral, an aging Gigondas par excellence. In recent years, a “Petit Bonheur” has been added to the Pallières rouge; Rosé vinified in the same spirit, where listening to and reading the Terroir are the basis of creation.
