Close to Montpellier, between Mèze and Marseillan, the Domaine Belle Mare spreads out its 68 hectares, 63 of which are planted with vines on the edge of the Etang de Thau, the largest and deepest pond in Languedoc.
Intense blue, this inland sea stretches for 20 km in the center of the triangle of Agde, Pézenas and Sète. This hotspot for oyster and mussel farming is known for its famous Bouzigues oysters. The dry and arid climate of the land, tempered by the freshness of the salty air coming from the lagoon, is conducive to the good maturity of their grapes.
A crush, more than 20 years ago, between a man and a unique land, the Domaine Belle Mare is the link between the Earth and the People. The owner was seduced by this vineyard located between scrubland and lagoon.
